Almost 100 establishments sign up for the BEC! ON programme

Restaurants, bars, gift shops and cultural centres have signed up for the scheme

Almost 100 establishments have signed up for BEC! ON, a programme set up by Bilbao Exhibition Centre in cooperation with the Bilbao City Centre, Bilbao Dendak and Bilbao Old Town traders’ associations and Inguralde in Barakaldo. The scheme is intended to offer participants in events at the trade fair complex with unique cultural and sightseeing experiences linked to the best that the area has to offer in terms of cuisine and shopping.

The selection of leisure options on offer includes mostly restaurants, bars, gift shops and cultural centres. Stand-out establishments taking part in the scheme include the Bilbao Fine Arts Museum, the Yandiola, Víctor, Casa Enol, Aizian, Nerua, Bodega Urbana, Baita Bilbao, La Olla, El Huevo Berria and Café Iruña restaurants, tapas bars such as El Bodegón, Nogueira and Negresco and night-spots such as La Antigua Cigarrería and Residence. In all there now 96 establishments on this list of “embassadors” for the local area. “A lively city with a wide range of high-quality restaurant and shopping options is a major attraction for visitors, and one that adds value to their experience”, states BEC General Manager Xaber Basañez, who advocates drawing up distinctive plans to cater for customers and assure their loyalty.

Thanks to BEC! ON, attendees at events staged at Bilbao Exhibition Centre, including trade visitors, exhibtors and congress delegates, can obtain gifts, discounts and special offers at the bars, restaurants, shops and cultural centres signed up to the scheme just by showing their event credentials. Forthcoming events whose attendees can benefit from BEC! ON include World Maritime Week, Welcome, Expovacaciones, Ferroforma, Subcontratación, Addit3d, Pumps&Valves, Maintenance, Fitmaq, Fosminer, Retroclásica and Desembalaje. There will be regular updates on the website, which will include links to establishments taking part in the scheme.
