EMO Hannover announces its new edition at the BEC

The EMO Hannover organising team announced their new edition, which will take place from 18 to 23 September 2017, at a press conference. The people responsible for the German event have made the most of the presence of the specialised media visiting the industrial fairs that are taking place simultaneously at the BEC this week. The General Secretary of VDW, German Machine-Tool Builders Association, Wilfried Schäfer was present, alongside Oliver Frese, Member of the Governing Board of Deutsche Messe AG; Santiago González, Spanish Delegate for Deutsche Messe AG; Xabier Basañez, CEO of the Bilbao Exhibition Centre; Xabier Ortueta, CEO of AFM Advanced Manufacturing Technologies; and Javier San Miguel, Director of the Danobat Turning Division. The benchmark event for metal transformation will be held under the motto: “Connecting systems for intelligent production”.

Xabier Basañez, CEO of the Bilbao Exhibition Centre, welcomed the organisers of EMO and highlighted the relevance of making this announcement at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre; the home of the International Machine-Tool Biennial Exhibition and the location that’s now hosting six simultaneous industrial trade fairs: “This is a great opportunity to exchange ideas and initiatives. Both organisations are positive that the machine-tool is at the heart of the industry and without it, the economy would be unsustainable. Manufacturers and users worldwide are placing high stakes on these events, thus carrying out their marketing initiatives here, presenting some of the advances of the Industry 4.0, learning about them and even acquiring them at the fairs.”
