Leading companies in aeronautics, the automotive industry and capital goods will take part in Subcontratación

The exhibiting area for the trade show already has an occupancy rate of 85%

Leading companies from sectors such as aeronautics, the automotive industry and capital goods, among others, have already finalised their registration as visitors to SUBCONTRATACIÓN’19, the International Fair of Manufacturing Processes and Equipment that will be held at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre from 4 to 6 June. The big companies know that the manufacturing world could not exist without industrial subcontracting, so they have not hesitated to confirm their attendance to the event. Executives in management, direction and innovation will be attending the trade show to search for the best SMEs that respond to the needs of their respective companies.

The companies that have registered for this edition of Subcontratación are first rate, cover different sectors, and also have solid international projections. The aeronautics sector will be represented by Aciturri, Aernnova, ITP and Bombardier, among others; the capital goods sector has representatives such as Ampo, ArcelorMittal, Danobat and Soraluce; companies from the railway industry such as CAF will also be at the event, and the automotive industry is represented by EvoBus, Mercedes Benz Spain, Iveco Spain, Volkswagen-Seat Group and Gestamp Group. The energy sector will also be present, represented by Gamesa Energy Transmission.

On the other hand, subcontractor companies will be located in the exhibiting area, which already has an occupancy rate of 85%. These SMEs attend Subcontratación with a three-pronged objective – to capture new clients, reinforce the cooperation between them, and access new markets. Part machining and manufacturing, as well as casting and transformation without chip removal are some of the main activities that exhibitors have been focussing their work on in very specific sectors. In this sense, and in light of the aforementioned companies, metal constructions, aeronautics, and the automotive industry are at the top of the list of sectors that the exhibitors have set their sights on.

The international presence of this group stands out this year with a large delegation from Portugal, as the three Portuguese metallurgy and electromechanics associations, AIMMAP, ANEME and AIDA, have joined forces to attend the trade show. Portuguese companies consider Subcontratación to be the main event in the sector for the Spanish market, and they consider the B2B meetings to be the determining factor when it came to deciding to take part. They will be joined in the exhibiting area by exhibitors from Germany, France, Italy, Austria, India and the United Kingdom, among others.

The repetition rate for companies is high, but another important figure for this year is that 35% of companies are attending for the first time. The contacts made at the trade show are beneficial. According to the satisfaction survey from the last edition, 68% of exhibitors made contact with potential new clients, 53% received orders on the spot, and 52% started new commercial projects.

Subcontratación is the only trade show in Spain for manufacturing processes and equipment that is designed for SMEs, where exhibitors and visitors find business opportunities that go beyond providing mere contact details. The 18th European Industrial Subcontracting Meeting will be held within this context, which is organised by the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, the Bilbao Chamber of Commerce and the Bilbao Exhibition Centre, with the collaboration of the Spanish Network of Subcontracting. The effectiveness of these business meetings is demonstrated by the fact that of the 1,224 appointments held in 2017, 85.2% of purchasers responded that they were “very satisfied” with the interviews held, and 66.7% estimated that they would formalise trade agreements with those interviewed.

On the other hand, the second edition of Polveri & ecoCoating is also held within the Subcontratación framework this year, an event offering a programme of keynote speeches on technology and innovation of the highest level for the surface coatings and treatments sector. This programme is currently being finalised, and includes topics such as dual layers; powder on powder; thermosensitive, anti-graffiti and photocatalytic support surfaces, in addition to anodising processes with highly reactive materials, nanotechnology pretreatments and nanotechnology in paint, among others.

Polveri & ecoCoating will combine the conference with the exhibiting area, where machinery, equipment, consumables and service companies will take part.

+INDUSTRY, ADDED VALUE

This event and the Subcontratación trade show both generate interesting synergies as they will take place at the same time and in the same space at the BEC as six other industry fairs, forming the +INDUSTRY platform, the largest international meeting on manufacturing processes and industry supplies. Over a thousand suppliers will take place in this unique tour that brings together seven international trade shows: Subcontratación, on manufacturing processes and equipment; Addit3D, on additive and 3D manufacturing; BeDigital, on digital technologies applied to the industry; Fitmaq, on bargain & used machinery; Industry Tools by Ferroforma, on industry tools and supplies; Maintenance, networking for maintenance and infrastructure professionals; and Pumps & Valves, providing solutions to pump systems, valves and equipment for industrial processes.
