Oil & gas conference will hold its second edition with current international issues

It will be held on 8th and 9th October 2018

Identification of the energy resource and optimisation of technologies, business opportunities in new markets, such as Uzbekistan, Belarus, Colombia, Argentina and Saudi Arabia, exploration/production in deep waters, change in the energy mix, cybersecurity in oil and gas facility control systems and digital solutions are some of the main issues that will form part of the Oil&Gas Conference programme on 8th and 9th October 2018. The suitability of addressing certain contents of international concern and once more including the upstream and downstream approach has been discussed at the first meeting of the Committee of Experts, in which the milestones of the first edition of the Conference in 2016 have also been reviewed.

The Committee of Experts, which is made up of representatives of companies, such as HIDROCARBUROS DE EUSKADI (EVE GROUP), PETRONOR, AMPO, IDOM, LOINTEK, TUBACEX GROUP and ENAGAS, will incorporate international specialists in the near future to continue designing and developing the conference programme and to deal with organisational aspects. In 2018, the Oil&Gas Conference will once more be committed to combining conferences, an exhibition area and a networking area at the same venue. In the latter area, the Brokerage Event can be highlighted, offering bilateral meetings among conference participants, exhibitors and sponsors of the event.

Throughout January, professional visitors will be sent a preview of topics accompanied by an interest survey and a “Call for Papers”, inviting them to participate. Working closely with participants of the event enables the organising team –EasyFairs and the Bilbao Exhibition Centre- to identify the most important technological and investment needs, and offer a meeting that has been customised to the sector with guaranteed results.

In 2016, and according to the surveys conducted at the end of the event, 84 % of attendees valued the level of the speakers highly and 81 % of the participants said that their objectives and expectations had been fulfilled. Professionals from the entire Oil & Gas value chain – engineering firms, consultancy firms, EPCs, equipment and component suppliers, technologists, operators and end users- met over two days to discover first-hand the latest advances, exchange information and measure capacities in what is the only event in the sector with an international projection in Spain. In total, 206 conference attendees, 24 speakers and 21 companies, including exhibitors and sponsors, participated.
