The industry confirms its strength at +Industry

Seven trade shows come together from 4 to 6 June 2019 at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre.

The industry will confirm its strength from 4 to 6 June at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre during the celebration of + Industry. The combination of seven trade shows in the same space – Subcontratación, Addit3D, Industry Tools by Ferroforma, BeDigital, Maintenance, Pumps & Valves and Fitmaq-, in addition to WORKinn, will transform the venue into the main industrial meeting point of the year in Spain. Over 1000 exhibitors have already confirmed their participation in a platform that is distinguished by its synergies between professionals -exhibitors and visitors- from very diverse areas.

+ Industry will offer a journey through innovative products and manufacturing and supply services for the industry with registered visitors from sectors such as aeronautics, automotive, capital goods, metal works, energy and utilities, railway, engineering, machine-tool, naval, petrochemical, iron and steel, transport & infrastructures, as well as distribution channels such as industrial supply warehouses, hardware cooperatives and purchasing groups, among others.

Knowledge transfer is essential to be able to advance in innovative manufacturing processes. Therefore, conferences addressing key aspects related to 4.0 solutions for industry will feature in the + Industry congress space: digital transformation; additive manufacturing; electronic maintenance, asset management and condition monitoring; energy efficiency, connectivity of fluid process equipment, surface coatings and treatments…

The best experts are at Subcontratación

Leading companies from sectors such as aeronautics, the automotive and capital goods industries, among others, have already finalised their registration process as visitors to Subcontratación, the International Fair of Manufacturing Processes and Equipment. The event is an important business opportunity for SMEs that meet in the exhibiting area with companies related to machining, casting and the transformation without chip removal. Subcontratación is an interesting information platform, since it will offer direct responses from the best national and international specialists in these sectors from countries such as Portugal, Italy or France.

Within the framework of this fair, the 18th European Industrial Subcontracting Meeting has also been organised by the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, the Bilbao Chamber of Commerce and the Bilbao Exhibition Centre, with the collaboration of the Spanish Subcontracting Network.

In parallel the second edition of Polveri & ecoCoating shall also be held within Subcontratación, an event offering a programme of keynote speeches on technology and innovation of the highest level for the surface coatings and treatments sector. Polveri & ecoCoating will combine the conference with the exhibiting area, where machinery, equipment, consumables and service supplier companies will take part.

Industry Tools by Ferroforma:

A strategic change for a new industrial positioning

The Industry Tools by Ferroforma seeks to become a benchmark event for products and tools for industrial use. In its first edition, the show will bring together companies of hardware and industrial supplies, tools, industrial cleaning and maintenance, locksmiths, fixings and labour protection, in addition to small machinery, logistics and handling.

Exhibiting firms from 22 countries have already confirmed their participation at the show, which will spread between exhibition halls 1 and 3 of the Basque venue. It is especially relevant to highlight the presence of German companies, hand tool manufacturers, at a joint stand coordinated by the FWI German hand tooling association.

Access to the domestic market, and to Latin American countries, is one of the reasons why foreign companies participate at Industry Tools by Ferroforma. Furthermore, the possibility of taking part in the B2B meetings with potential purchasers and distributors increases its attractiveness. In 2017, 438 meetings were held.

The latest and most advanced additive manufacturing trends arrive at ADDIT3D

ADDIT3D, the only industrial professional fair focusing on additive manufacturing and 3D printing in the country, will include the participation of relevant international additive manufacturing firms that are applicable to the industry, such as DMG MORI, HP, SLM Solutions, Stratasys, EOS and TRUMPF and front-line companies such as Dynamical Tools, Addilan, Optimus 3D, Hage and Sicnova. They will present interesting advances in the sector, mainly, in the “systems and machinery”, “industrial applications” and “materials” categories.

The meeting will combine the exhibition area and the product presentation with the conference section. Thus, at the Additive Talks, representatives from leading companies in the sector will share their knowledge and will transmit their experience in success stories in this field. Up-to-date issues such as “New technologies and materials for additive manufacturing”, “Development of the value chain”, “Additive manufacturing technologies”, “Industrial serial manufacturing”, “Initiatives for the acceleration of the use of additive manufacturing in Basque SMEs”, among others, have been included in the programme. The conference area will be coordinated by ADDIMAT, the Spanish Association for Additive Manufacturing and 3D Technologies.

PUMPS&VALVES, shared experiences

The trade show on pumps and valves for industrial use will gather companies and professionals of the sector so they can share experiences and present the latest innovations at PUMPS&VALVES, which will be held within the framework of + Industry. In addition to the exhibition area where international and domestic firms will showcase their products and services, conferences and an intermediate area in which the attending companies will share their case studies will we held in parallel. The firms that will attend as visitors include: Kraft, Petronor, Acciona Agua, Sener Ingeniería y Sistemas, CLH or Bridgestone Hispania, among others.

The conferences, organised with a high degree of specialisation, will revolve around two main topics. On the one hand, the challenges and opportunities in engineering, operation and connectivity of fluid processing equipment (pumps, valves, pipelines, etc.). On the other hand, the challenges and innovative solutions to improve energy efficiency, reliability and safety. In the sessions scheduled within these two large sections, they will address current issues such as the IoT, Big Data or cyber-security, in addition to other matters that will determine the future of this industrial sector worldwide. Some of the confirmed speakers include: BP Oil, TechnipFMC, Air Liquide, among others.

MAINTENANCE, benchmark industrial maintenance fair

The conference programme of this third edition of Maintenance will include Asset Management and ICT as the central pillars in the industrial maintenance sector, a space in which industrial maintenance professionals may share and showcase their latest advances. For this, the conference cycle will include three blocks designed to bring technological breakthroughs nearer to the professionals of the sector: “Electronic maintenance: ICT for maintenance”, “Asset Management” and “Condition Monitoring Technologies”. The presentations will be held at the Conference Theatre 3 by Spri, the Basque Business Development Agency, which will also offer the Basque Industry 4.0 by Spri welcome cocktail.

As for the Maintenance exhibition area, it has a space reserved for companies that wish to present their activities, latest developments and experiences in order to contribute to the sector. In this sense, companies such as Hydropyc, Aeromarine, BASF, Predycsa or Globalgit have confirmed their attendance. Most of the exhibition area has already been booked. The visitors will also have the chance to participate at the Open Meetings programmes, destined to develop B2B meetings. The places for the event are almost all sold-out.

New opportunities in 4.0 manufacturing will be the driver behind BeDigital

The latest advances in the field of the industrial application of digital technologies arrive at the BEC thanks to BeDigital. Representatives from sectors such as the automotive industry, aeronautics, capital goods, energy and auxiliary industries will attend this digital trade show to participate as visitors or speakers, and will bring to the table the success factors behind digital transformation. Thus, the Digital Talks shall address new opportunities in the manufacturing process of the Industry 4.0 and will have the participation and experience of companies such as Mercedes-Benz and Garnica Plywood, among others. They will also deal with other issues such as the securisation of industrial systems, advanced augmented reality solutions, the interaction of data within private industrial internet for IT, OT, IIoT and Cloud networks, in addition to Field Service and sensorisation.

Another of the activities organised for BeDigital will be the Innovation Workshops. These are brief presentations on the latest technological innovations, presented by the exhibitors themselves, who will also share case studies. Among this group of exhibitors it is important to highlight the presence of Innovae, Dassault Systèmes, SAP, Sarenet, S21sec and Kaspersky, among other companies of the sector.

IV Edition of FITMAQ, a unique second-hand machinery fair in Europe

FITMAQ, International Fair of Bargain & Used Machinery, will hold its fourth edition offering the best exhibition space in the second-hand machinery market in Spain. The event, jointly organised by Interempresas and the Bilbao Exhibition Centre, will welcome the main companies of the second-hand machinery sector, in addition to Latin American firms that consider Spain as a market for potential growth.

This year, the fair has an advisory committee, which will include companies from the sector that have shown their commitment to promote the only European metal-mechanical trade show that focuses specifically on the second-hand machinery market.

WORKinn, talent with international projection

WORKinn, the only industrial employment fair in Spain, will present at BEC an extensive job pool from important companies in the sector. The profile they seek is a person -either recently graduated or an active professional with an interest in changing jobs- with training in different engineering fields (mechanical, electronic,…) and experience in the automotive industry, Industry 4.0 or IT projects. The offers have something in common: they search for young people with initiative, projection and languages, since these companies have an important international projection. Last year, they formalised about two-hundred job offers.

The fair will have the institutional support of the Basque Government (Lanbide), the Spanish Government (Spanish Public Employment Service) and the Bizkaia Provincial Council (Dema and Bizkaia Talent); the presence of associations such as the AFM Cluster, fair co-organiser, and the Spanish Machine Tool Importers Association, in addition to the top companies of the sector: Fagor Arrasate, Grupo Lontana and Ferchau, among others.
