Around 145,000 people have already enjoyed culture and live music at the BEC pavilion in the first half of 2025

Bizkaia Arena closes the first half of 2025 with record figures, highlighting its position as a leading venue for all kinds of shows. To date, 23 of the more than 40 events scheduled until the end of the year have already taken place at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre’s multi-purpose pavilion. This will be a record year in many respects, marked by the diversity of events on offer and the notable sell-outs.

More than 145,000 people have already enjoyed a variety of culture and live music at this venue, amounting to 40% of the expected attendance for this year. The stages of Bizkaia Arena have hosted adrenaline-fuelled shows, diverse rhythms and performances where laughter was the star of the show. The Latin rhythms of Myke Towers and Marc Anthony or rock & roll with Bad Religion have all had their own space. Maite Zaitut Festa Erraldoia was a hit with the little ones, not to mention those feeling nostalgic who wanted to remember the legendary clowns Pirritx, Porrotx and Marimotots. The band ETS-En Tol Sarmiento also celebrated its 20th anniversary with three historic concerts that marked a milestone in Basque music.

Female voices also left their mark, with performances by Rigoberta Bandini and Izaro, who gave her last concert in the Basque Country on this tour at the Bizkaia Arena. Chill Mafia chose this venue for the concert to bid farewell to their musical career. In addition, to round off this programme before the summer break, Jennifer Lopez brought the season to a close this week with a show that is part of her first international tour since 2019.

This varied programme has attracted a diverse audience to Bizkaia Arena, reaffirming its capacity to host large-scale events and offer the best experience to its users.

A second half of the year with high expectations
The return of summer brings a mix of legendary and established artists including Loquillo, Sabina and Gatibu, and the farewell tour concert of Lágrimas de Sangre. The line-up also includes younger acts such as Quevedo and Blackworks Festival.

One of the most eagerly awaited moments is the concert by Ura Bere Bidean, which returns to the venue with a dress rehearsal and two performances on three different dates. The show, which reworks Basque music classics from the 1970s to the present day, is already almost sold out. Artists such as Evaristo, Ariel Rot, Betagarri and Gatibu, among others, will take to the stage, accompanied by the Bilbao Symphony Orchestra and the Bilbao Choral Society. Other performers still to be finalised will join this list of confirmed events, making it a year to remember.

A promising start to 2026
Everything points to 2026 also being an excellent year for music at Bizkaia Arena. The start of the year sets a very positive tone, with two concerts by Fito to be held in January. In total, with many months still to go, seven shows have already been confirmed, four of which are sold out: two of the four are to be offered by Fito & Fitipaldis and the return of El Último de la Fila.
