weAR returns to Bilbao Exhibition Centre from 23 to 25 February 2027 for its second edition, cementing its position as the premier biennial event for automation and robotics. At a time when the industry is advancing at an unprecedented pace and automation and robotics play an increasingly strategic role, this February gathering allows suppliers and users to connect at a pivotal moment for shaping investments and industrial projects.
The event combines an expansive exhibition area with workshops, talks, and live demonstrations, creating a dynamic environment to experience real-world applications, discover success stories, and tailor the latest automation and robotics solutions to specific industry needs. Spanning a broad spectrum of sectors, the trade fair features manufacturers and distributors of drive systems and components, sensor and control technology, IPCs, industrial software, human-machine interfaces, electrical networks and factory supplies, interface technology, low-voltage switching devices, mechanical infrastructure, industrial communication, assembly and handling technology, positioning systems, safety and security technology, industrial wearables, AGVs, robotics, and machine vision.
The trade fair takes place within +INDUSTRY, the country’s largest smart manufacturing platform, which integrates seven complementary industrial exhibitions under one roof: AdditƐD, BeDIGITAL, Maintenance, Pumps & Valves, Subcontratación, and weAR, alongside the WORKinn Talent Hub employment forum. This co-located format fosters seamless synergy across the entire advanced manufacturing value chain.
Staging weAR alongside +INDUSTRY attracts decision-makers from key sectors, including automotive, defence, food and beverage, aeronautics and aerospace, energy, capital goods, steel, chemical and petrochemical, and rail, among many others.
The event’s international scope is another defining feature, reflected in the profile of both exhibitors and visitors alike. At its previous edition in 2025, +INDUSTRY welcomed 12,120 professionals from 47 countries. Leading international markets included France, Italy, Germany, Portugal, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Belgium, Morocco, China, Taiwan, and South Korea.
weAR is jointly organised by STECH (the Spanish Association for Smart Technologies for the Manufacturing Industry) and Bilbao Exhibition Centre, with the institutional backing of the Provincial Council of Bizkaia and SPRI – Basque Government.
