Food for Future World Summit will take place from June 15th to 17th 2021 in Bilbao Exhibition Centre (BEC) to showcase the latest technologies, solutions and automation systems that are transforming the food industry
Bilbao will host Food 4 Future World Summit, the most innovative event to transform the food and beverage industry through new technologies, solutions and automation systems. From June 15th to 17th 2021, Bilbao Exhibition Centre (BEC) will gather professionals from the entire value chain of the food industry to showcase the latest technological solutions, innovation and trends that will mark a before and after in this industry in full transformation.
How will we feed ourselves in the upcoming years, when there are 10 billion people on earth? How can the sustainability of the global food system provide healthy nutrition to the entire world population over the next fifteen years? How will technology change the agri-food value chain? These are some of the most important challenges affecting an industry that represents 11% of world GDP and with expected demand growth of 70% four years from now. Technology becomes a key driver and a crucial ally to face the current challenges of the food sector.
Technologies 4.0, the importance of healthy food, sustainable and efficient food production or the fight against climate change are some of the challenges that are deeply transforming the food industry. The digitalization of the European food industry will have an impact of more than 300,000 million Euros between 2021 and 2025.
In this scenario, Food 4 Future is the professional platform for any professional of the food industry that wants to discover the most innovative solutions on foodtech, robotics and automation, food security and processing and packaging techniques for the different segments of the industry.
The event will also host Food 4 Future World Summit, the largest European conference where to discover new trends and consumer habits, as well as success stories and applications of technology to achieve a more efficient and sustainable industry. The congress will gather more than 280 experts that will share their knowledge and expertise in different vertical forums for each segment of the industry: Meat, Beverage, Bakery, Sea Food, Dairy, Agro, and Ingredients.
Together with the conference, industry leaders will exchange knowledge and identify potential synergies in a high-level networking environment. The Foodtech Innovation Awards 2021 -which recognise the most innovative companies in the sector-, the Foodtech Startup Forum -a competition between startups with the most disruptive foodtech solutions-, or Tech Guide Tours are some other network activities of Food 4 Future – ExpoFoodTech.
During three days, Bilbao will become the Foodtech World Capital, gathering leaders of the industry and the most disruptive solutions. At Food 4 Future, the industry will lead the debate to face the challenges of the food sector for the coming years. The event is organized by Nebext, the first private event organizer company in Spain, together with AZTI, a Basque scientific and technological centre, with the support of the Bilbao City Council and the Basque Government.
