Companies and institutions will visit WORKinn, the only industrial employment fair in spain

Around 200 job offers were closed in the last edition

To identify talent and offer companies the most qualified workers – these are some of the main goals of WORKinn, the only industrial employment fair in Spain, which will take place at BEC on 5 and 6 June 2019. Employment, career advice, training and entrepreneurship are all features of this fair, but also of Basque companies and institutions, and a dozen of these have already confirmed they will be attending this year’s edition. These companies and institutions are the following: AFM Cluster- Advanced Manufacturing Technologies; Machine Tools Importers Association (AIMHE); DEMA, regional employment and entrepreneurship agency; Provincial Council of Bizkaia; Fagor Arrasate; Ferchau Engineering Spain S. L.; the Basque Government, through Lanbide; Lontana Group; Sarralle Group, Machine-Tool Institute (IMH), LKS Selección and Sna Europe Industries Iberia S. A. Furthermore, most of them have already booked a space for the 2020 fair, which proves that they trust and support this kind of event.

WORKinn is organised by AFM Cluster and Bilbao Exhibition Centre and is sponsored by the Provincial Council of Bizkaia and the Basque Government. It is an employment forum aimed at professionals in the sector, whether they are already in work but looking to change jobs, or unemployed and looking for a job. It is also a strategic meeting point for companies, institutions, universities, Vocational Training centres, development agencies and students, amongst others, because there are interviews and meetings as well as an exhibiting area. Visitors are able to find out the current situation of the job market first hand and the formulas best suited to their training and experience to access it or improve their positioning.

Every year the Employment Fair is held at the same time as another major industrial event, so the synergies that are created are highly beneficial to visitors. In 2019, WORKinn will share the space with another seven trade shows: Ferroforma, BeDigital, Subcontratación, FITMAQ, Maintenance, Pumps & Valves and Addit3d. These are all connected with the following industries: aeronautics, motor, railway, naval, industrial supplies, tools, locksmithing, fixings, and more. All these will create the largest international event on manufacturing processes and supply for the industry.

Over the past three editions, WORKinn has gone from offering around a hundred jobs in 2016 and 2017 to 200 in 2018. Many young people have visited (around 6,500 per year), most of them recent graduates or students doing their last years of vocational training.
