The international industrial sector is preparing for a milestone in its transition towards sustainability and climate neutrality with DS – Decarbonised & Sustainable Industry, a biennial World Summit designed to strengthen competitiveness and accelerate the decarbonisation of industry in line with major global challenges and EU policies.
The event was created to offer practical answers, facilitate access to technological solutions and promote action-oriented dialogue. With this approach, DS Industry will offer a dynamic and participatory forum combining trend analysis, knowledge sharing and the presentation of applied advances. Its aim is to accompany industry in a change that requires long-term vision, adaptability and a firm commitment to sustainability, understood as an opportunity to gain competitiveness in an increasingly demanding global context.
To this end, DS Industry will offer a novel format, structured around three pillars: Knowledge will bring together spaces for the dissemination and analysis of best practices, with the participation of world-renowned speakers and specialised content. Networking will provide a unique professional environment geared towards direct contact between industry leaders, with activities such as B2B meetings, shows, after-work events and technical visits, award ceremonies, and the Hosted Buyers’ Programme. Innovation will focus on the most advanced technological solutions on the market. It will include specialised workshops, live demonstrations, challenges for start-ups and a talent hub. This space will provide first-hand knowledge of the most disruptive innovations and accelerate the adoption of technologies that drive industrial transition.
As part of the Knowledge pillar, DS Industry will host an international conference, conceived as the leading forum for the industry. This event will bring together world-class experts, who will share their vision in inspiring keynotes, strategic panels and debates on the challenges and opportunities of industrial transition. The conference will be the meeting point for learning about global trends, driving innovation and generating high-value knowledge.
This world summit is aimed at companies in various sectors related to manufacturing and industrial processes such as refining, cement, steel, automotive, chemical, energy, food, textiles, construction, energy generation and distribution, among others. Technology and research centres, environmental management companies and infrastructure companies, engineering firms, EPCs, certification bodies, consultancies and public institutions at the local, national and international level are also participating.
The DS Industry exhibition space will include solutions for decarbonising energy consumption and energy efficiency, with equipment, components, services and technologies geared towards electricity grid infrastructure, renewable fuels and CO₂ capture, use and storage systems. It will also feature proposals for industry and the circular economy, promoting circularity in production processes and resource optimisation. In the cleantech field, environmental services and technologies, water management systems, waste disposal and soil protection will be presented. In addition, cross-cutting services and equipment will be incorporated, such as digitisation solutions applied to energy and the environment, project planning and development, regulation, financing, technology-based start-ups and a wide range of business services that complete the value chain.
