The pinnacle of the qualifying events is the Regional Championship. Very few of these events take place each season, but the potential rewards for participating in one are enormous. Similar to the Sector Qualifiers, the Regional Championships are two-day events held alongside several side events, but on a much larger scale and with much higher prize pools. The top 8 players receive an invitation to the Galactic Championship. Depending on the season, the tournament structure of a Regional Championship may also have some unique features that differ from the Sector Qualifiers.
