Official recognition by the Spanish Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism for ten international trade fairs in BEC

+INDUSTRY, ADDIT3D, SUBCONTRATACIÓN, WORLD MARITIME WEEK and TENDENCIAS CREATIVAS obtain ‘Full Internationality’.

The Spanish Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism, through its Secretary of State, recently recognised the international status of ten trade fairs that Bilbao Exhibition Centre will be organizing in 2023. This was recently certified in the Official State Gazette (BOE) in the Official Calendar of International Trade Fairs for 2023, issuing a favourable resolution to +INDUSTRY, ADDIT3D, SUBCONTRATACIÓN, WORLD MARITIME WEEK and TENDENCIAS CREATIVAS, all of which have been awarded “Full Internationality” status. In addition, BeDIGITAL, EXPOVACACIONES, MAINTENANCE, PUMPS&VALVES and STEEL TECH have been awarded the “Internationality for customs purposes concession”.

Both awards bestow a key distinction on events that, thanks to their dedication to both the professional and general public, are outstanding venues for dynamising and projecting products, services and activities abroad, and are therefore, a fundamental tool for the internationalisation of companies.

Classification in one category or the other depends on the fulfilment of a series of ministerial requirements. Thus, the category of “Full Internationality” includes those events that have taken place for at least three editions, with the number of foreign exhibitors equivalent to at least 10% of the total and the number of foreign visitors amounting to at least 5% of the total number of visitors. In addition to the prestige and the quality guarantee that comes with the recognition of these characteristics, full internationality brings other advantages as it is considered an essential requirement by official institutions and business organisations for its dissemination and promotion, and for the approval of aid for exhibiting companies.

“Internationality for customs purposes” offers customs facilities for the goods on show during your visit to BEC, and it also provides an exemption to the payment of Spanish taxes.
