Pumps & Valves 2017 to offer new ways of meeting international purchasers

The event will take place for the second time on 6-8 June

The second edition of Pumps & Valves will take place on 6-8 June 2017 and there will be new ways of meeting international purchasers and new visitor profiles. The sales team of the International Trade Show for Pump Systems, Valves and Equipment for Industrial Processes is excited about organising this edition after the success of the 2015 event.

Once again, visitors are the cornerstone of the sales campaign for Pumps & Valves 2017. The campaign is already focusing on organising a Reverse Trade Mission to attract international EPCs, mainly from Europe and the Middle East. As leaders in the field of equipment supply, these large engineering companies are a strategic visitor profile and of great interest to exhibitors. Guests on this programme will be able to have B2B interviews with exhibitors and give presentations about their short- and medium-term investment projects. The sales team is also working on the creation of a collaboration network with leading companies who visit the event.

Visitors from new sectors will be invited, including cement, mining and biotechnology, as well as the usual ones, i.e. metal, plastic, paper and packaging, food and drink, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, water and waste treatment, agricultural industry, chemical, petrochemical, engineering and consultancy.

Another new feature at Pumps & Valves 2017 will be Innovation Workshops – short presentations on the latest technological innovation features that will enable visitors find out about the best solutions offered by exhibitors by means of real case studies. These presentations round off the event’s programme of activities, made up of two days of highly specialised conferences in which there will also be guided tours of leading local companies.

The combination of an exhibition area with conferences and other spaces for professional exchange proved to be highly successful in 2015, as most of the exhibitors and visitors confirmed in the evaluation at the end of the event: Pumps & Valves was a specialised space that was necessary for the sector, and which helped them to achieve their sales goals satisfactorily. Specifically, 25% of the exhibition area was rebooked before the end of the show in 2015, and in satisfaction surveys that were carried out, 93% of visitors expressed their intention of returning.

The Bilbao Exhibition Centre will become a major industrial platform in June 2017, thanks to several events that will take place simultaneously: PUMPS & VALVES and MAINTENANCE, Industrial Maintenance Fair; FERROFORMA, International Hardware, DIY and Industrial Supplies Fair; SUBCONTRATACION, International Fair of Manufacturing Processes and Equipment; FITMAQ, International Fair of Bargain and Used Machinery; and ADDIT3D, International Trade Show on Additive and 3D Manufacturing. The main features that make these events stand out are the synergies between sectors and new profiles of visitors working in innovation and technological development who will be interested in attending.
