From 25 to 27 October 2023 at Bilbao Exhibition Centre

STEEL TECH, Congress & Expo, returns to the Bilbao Exhibition Centre from 25 to 27 October 2023 organised by Siderex and BEC. It is the leading international event in southern Europe for the steel sector. Over two full days, prestigious national and international speakers will address the major challenges and trends in the sector and will share their own experiences. Sustainability, based on data management, Collaborative Platforms and Resilience will be the main themes of the Congress. All of this is in the context of the steel sector’s value chain.

In its second edition, STEEL TECH, Congress & Expo, will feature a very dynamic format linked to innovation, which will integrate highly diverse proposals in different spaces. The event, which is a must for all companies, agents and organisations in the Iberian steel sector, will there combine its congress area with the exhibition area and the networking area. The last mentioned will host B2B meetings offering arranged meetings between exhibitors, sponsors and international VIP buyers. STEEL TECH will also have a Technical Poster Area and Innovation Workshops, and will offer other activities such as technical visits to plants, an after-work event and a gala dinner, at which the Steel Tech Awards will be presented.

The exhibition section will include supplier companies from the various levels of the value chain of the iron and steel sector. The business areas represented will mainly cover steel mills, steel transformers, machinery and equipment, components and spare parts, raw materials, waste managers, cranes and handling, special services for steel mills, technology centres, laboratories and test centres.

The combination of the congress and exhibition area, as well as the extensive programme of activities, will allow participants to exchange ideas and information, acquire new knowledge and establish solid business contacts; it will be a unique opportunity to assess the market live and explore new opportunities.

STEEL TECH, Congress & Expo, is aimed at steel producers; engineering and EPCs; importers, distributors, traders and service centres; hot and cold steel transformers; component and machinery manufacturers from various user sectors; technology and research centres; institutions and authorities; universities and vocational training; certifiers and consultancies.

The event is organised by the Bilbao Exhibition Centre and Siderex, in collaboration with UNESID – Union of Iron and Steel Companies-, the SPRI Group and the Basque Government.
