The international industrial sector will gather in DS – Decarbonized & Sustainable Industry in November, a leading World Summit aimed at helping industry adapt to environmental opportunities and challenges. This biennial event has been created to strengthen competitiveness and accelerate the decarbonization of industry in line with major global challenges, in a context where energy efficiency and energy independence are essential, in a context of the need for efficiency, security and energy sovereignty, and where the ability to anticipate trends, invest, and collaborate will make all the difference.

Technologies, challenges and trends for the decarbonization of energy consumption and energy efficiency, as well as circularity, will be the focus of this first edition of DS Industry as part of the Knowledge area. This space for knowledge exchange will comprise three main sections: the Technologies Track, featuring applications of various technologies in industry, such as heat pumps, green hydrogen, CO2 capture and utilisation, and thermal storage; Sectors Track, covering challenges and trends in the decarbonization of various industrial sectors, such as refining, steel, paper, cement, ceramics, food, smelting and forging; and Circularity in Industry Track, which will address how to move towards circular models throughout the value chain, focusing on waste recovery, the application of ecodesign, extending product lifespans, and the shift toward servitization.

The conference has a technical committee comprising Aclima, BASQUENERGY Cluster, EVE- Basque Energy Agency, Iberdrola, Petronor/Repsol, SPRI and Tecnalia, which collaborate on advising, designing and validating the programme’s content. The Basque Country brings together a range of industrial capabilities, energy infrastructure and technological assets that position it as a particularly suitable environment for leading industrial decarbonization projects and clean technologies at the European level, with key global driving forces.

Furthermore, Sener, BrenMiller Europe, Tecnalia Research and Innovation, Indelcasa, Limia & Martin, Grupo Agaleus, RANK and Globalfactor are some of the exhibiting companies that have already confirmed their participation in the exhibition area, where they will present their latest innovations in equipment, products and services aimed at the decarbonization of energy consumption and energy efficiency, the circular economy and cleantech. This space, which forms part of the Innovation pillar, will include specialised workshops, a technical poster zone, challenges aimed at start-ups and a talent hub, offering a first-class showcase of the most innovative solutions and equipment on the market. B2B meetings, technical visits, the DS Awards, the gala dinner and the after-work drinks will form the Networking pillar, rounding off this professional event that combines trend analysis, knowledge exchange and the presentation of applied advances in a dynamic and participatory forum of industry leaders.

DS Industry is supported by the Basque Government and the Provincial Council of Bizkaia as Institutional Partners, and features the participation of Aclima, Basquenergy Cluster, EVE-Basque Energy Agency, the SPRI Group and IHOBE as Sectoral Partners.
