On 3 and 4 November, DS – Decarbonized & Sustainable Industry will welcome international experts and figures from leading companies to its Knowledge area, where they will unpack what drives the shift towards a more sustainable industry. Taking a hands-on approach, the programme will explore how decarbonization, energy efficiency, circularity and cleantech affect the competitiveness of the industrial base and reshape it.

The conference has already secured the confirmed participation of leading international speakers from countries such as Germany, Denmark, the USA, Greece and France, joining top-tier Spanish experts on stage. The lineup includes representatives from Aclima, Afesa, Arcelormittal, Arteche, Bayer Hispania, Biscay Eco Aggregates, Boehringer Ingelheim Gmbh, CAF, Calcinor Servicios, Center For Research and Technology Hellas (Certh), Circular Valley, Danfoss, EPRI Europe DAC, Equipe Cerámicas, G. Otua, Gestamp, Fives North American Combustion Spain, Gulf Energy Catalyst, Guyot Energies, Heidelberg Materials, Institute of Ceramic Technology (ITC), Pepsico, Repsol, Sarralle, Sener, SHS- Stahl-Holding-Saa and Spouted Bed, amongst others.

The content is focused on three tracks: the Technologies Track tackles real-world deployment—from CO₂ capture and utilization to thermal storage, heat pumps, and green hydrogen. The Industrial Circularity Track spans the entire value chain, from eco-design and extending product lifespans through to new business models, product-as-a-service and waste valorization. Third, the Sectors Track targets the specific decarbonization challenges and trends in refining, renewable fuels, steelmaking, cement, food processing, and ceramics. Beyond keynote addresses, interactive debate forums and roundtables give attendees direct opportunities to exchange insights and co-create collaborative solutions.

Behind the design and definition of the conference content stands an expert technical committee made up of Aclima, Basquenergy Cluster, EVE-Basque Energy Agency, Iberdrola, Ihobe, Petronor/Repsol, SPRI and Tecnalia. Its members bring a highly specialized outlook, one that reflects the key players in industry, energy, circularity and cleantech.

DS Industry will complete its proposal with two other strategic areas: Innovation and Networking. The Innovation space will show the solutions and technologies that are driving industrial transformation through an exhibition area with companies and reference entities such as Basquenergy Cluster, Carlo Gavazzi, Grupo Agaleus, Iberdrola, KPMG, MAGNON (Ence), Petronor/Repsol, PwC, Sener, Stratenergy (Grupo Velatia), Tecnalia, Técnicas Reunidas, Veolia, Zabala Innovation and Zabalgarbi, among others. This area will also include workshops, technical posters, a space for startups and entrepreneurship, and a talent hub.

Meanwhile, Networking area will bring ecosystem decision-makers together through targeted B2B matchmaking meetings, the DS Awards ceremony, an official gala dinner, and an after-work drink. On November 5, the program will be completed with technical visits to reference industrial plants and facilities in the Basque Country.

Organized by Bilbao Exhibition Centre, DS Industry 2026 is supported by Provincial Council of Bizkaia and Basque Government as Institutional Partners; Iberdrola and Petronor as Platinum Sponsors; KPMG as Gold Sponsor; and Aclima, Basquenergy Cluster, EVE-Basque Energy Agency, IHOBE, Net Zero Basque, SPRI Group and Tecnalia as Sectoral Partners.
