BEC, a benchmark for events in the energy sector

Bilbao Exhibition Centre has established itself as a benchmark for holding events related to the energy sector, hosting and promoting a number of leading industry meetings. These have brought together experts, researchers and opinion leaders to discuss current and future challenges in the energy sector and share best practices in terms of energy efficiency, clean energy and sustainable development.

An example of this is the awarding of the “European Hydrogen Energy Conference EHEC 2024”, led by the Spanish Hydrogen Association, which will take place from 6 to 8 March with the support of the local committee formed by Tecnalia, Basque Energy Agency, Basque Energy Cluster and BEC.

BEC calendar also includes events such as the one recently held by the Carlo Gavazzi business group on the “prospects and challenges of the current energy paradigm”. The event was organised in collaboration with the Basque Energy Agency and the Basque Country Energy Cluster, with the participation of Iberdrola, Ingeteam and Tecnalia.

Other notable events included the “4th Adding Value to CO2 Congress”, organised by the Spanish CO2 Technology and Innovation Platform (PTECO2) in collaboration with the Spanish Technology and Innovation Platform for Sustainable Chemistry (SusChem-Spain).

Also on BECs calendar this year are various sectoral forums such as those organised by the Energy Cluster on H2, Oil&Gas, energy services and mobility, as well as the various technical conferences organised by the Basque Hydrogen Corridor on production, mobility, T&D and storage, and hydrogen electrolysers.
