BEC and Passivhaus Consortium sign a collaboration agreement

Consorcio Passivhaus has signed a collaboration agreement with the Bilbao Exhibition Centre, which will ensure it enjoys a prominent place at Egurtek, the Forum of Architecture and Construction in Wood, on 19 and 20 October. The organisation will therefore promote the event among its members and will facilitate Egurtek’s attendance and participation in the various events it organises during 2022.

Consorcio Passivhaus is an association committed to the international energy efficient performance standard Passivhaus. The association was founded in late 2016 with the aim of accelerating the arrival of nearly zero-passive buildings to the end user and energising the players in the construction market.

The Passivhaus concept is based on 5 basic principles: adequate insulation, controlled ventilation system (CVS), high-performance windows, no air leakage and no thermal bridging. A passive building requires 90% less energy, since they are sustainable constructions that seek to reduce as far as possible the energy consumption required for air conditioning.
