BEC becomes the scene of the pioneering summer camp ‘Ikusika’

Activities related to photography, radio, video, video game creation, music, theater … The Ikusika summer camp, which will be held at BEC from July 5 to 16, will offer boys and girls between 10 and 12 years old unique experiences with which they will learn to spread the stories they will create on different internet platforms. Furthermore, different activities will be carried out with experts and famous people will approach to share their experiences regarding the topics that matter most.

This innovative summer camp, which also includes the dining room service, aims to promote the use of Basque through recreational activities in order to facilitate and normalize its use in leisure and free time activities and relationships, including the digital environment.

The space will comply with a strict security protocol, with which BEC has already obtained the Safe Tourism Certified seal from the Institute for Spanish Tourism Quality (ICTE), a distinction that certifies that the exhibition centre is a safe space.

The Ikusika summer camp is organized by the Barakaldo City Council and the Basque Government.
