Bilbao Exhibition Centre, in collaboration with Repsol, expands its electric vehicle charging network

It will offer 24 new places

Bilbao Exhibition Centre, in collaboration with Repsol, has extended its network of charging points for electric vehicles by installing 24 new spaces, besides the three already operating at entrance C of the Basque venue’s car park. The new charging points on level -1 of the north and south crossings of hall 4 have different types of chargers to meet the needs of electric vehicles with different capacities and requirements.

Thus, the new facilities include: 6 three-phase dual wall chargers with their respective cables, providing 11 kW power at each socket; 4 single-phase dual wall chargers with their respective cables, providing 7.4 kW power at each socket; and 2 single-phase dual wall chargers with 2 conventional 7.4 kW sockets, designed specifically for vehicles that do not have a Mennekes connector.

Thanks to this action coordinated by the multi-energy company, Bilbao Exhibition Centre will provide high-quality, advanced charging solutions to promote sustainable electric mobility and contribute to reducing carbon emissions.

Thus, users will be able to manage their electric car charging through Waylet, Repsol’s leading application in which they can locate charging points, see all the characteristics (power, connectors, availability, etc.) and manage payment. Repsol currently has around 200 public recharging points in the Basque Country, of which more than 160 are active.

This action underscores Bilbao Exhibition Centre’s firm commitment to adopting responsible practices to sustainably manage the building, reaffirming its determination to contribute to actions that generate a positive impact on the environment and in line with the goals of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development (SDG).
