Extensive participation of companies in Addit3D 2022

It will be held from 13 to 17 June as part of BIEMH

More than 80 exhibitor firms have so far confirmed they will participate in Addit3D-International Additive Manufacturing and 3D Fair, which has already registered almost 180 machines, products and services in its directory. On this occasion, the event will be held as part of the 31st edition of the BIEMH-International Machine Tool Biennial and will round off the Industry 4.0 products and services being showcased with a wide range of companies participating in Hall 6 of the exhibition centre.

The main sectors represented at the event will be systems and machinery for additive manufacturing and 3D printing, equipment and printers, industrial applications, raw materials, consumables, 3D printing services, software, 3D scanners, and R&D and training. Addit3D, which will hold its sixth edition in June, is the only professional trade fair for the additive sector in Spain.

This is a booming sector which, in recent years, has become part of the manufacturing technology landscape in industries such as aerospace, biomedical and automotive. Additive manufacturing is enabling companies to be more profitable by creating lighter parts that require less material and which therefore entail lower production costs. Additive manufacturing is advancing rapidly today and is also being integrated into traditional production processes. This, along with the latest developments in the sector, will be on show at Addit3D in June, thus keeping all Industry 4.0 players up-to-date.

Additive Talks and Innovation Workshops will complete the programme.

The Additive Talks will offer a wide-ranging congress programme with four sessions of specialised speakers – both national and international – who will deal with the main current issues in this sector.

The first session will cover “Development of the additive manufacturing sector and European strategy” with Naiara Zubizarreta, director of Addimat, and Vincenzo Belletti, director of EU public affairs at Cecimo. The second session will be “Technological trends in metal additive manufacturing” by Elena López, head of Division Additive Manufacturing at Fraunhofer IWS, Jasmin Saewe, head of Laser Powder Bed Fusion department at Fraunhofer ILT, and Manuel Sánchez Poncela, of Arcelor Mittal. The third session will be a round table on “The adoption of 3D printing in the automotive industry” with Marc Travesset, of SEAT, and Javier Cuartero, of Volkswagen Navarra. Finally, the fourth session will feature a panel discussion on “How to boost new businesses in the field of industrial additive manufacturing?” and will feature of Mariel Díaz, CEO of Triditive; Javier Díaz, CEO of Madit Metal; Elvira León, CEO of Addvance3d; and Jon Martínez, founding partner and director of R&D at Samylabs.

The Additive Talks scientific committee consists of Jaume Homs, president of Addimat; Mariel Díaz, CEO of Triditive; Haize Galarraga, project manager at Tecnalia; Aitzol Lamikiz, a professor in the department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of the Basque Country UPV/EHU; Naiara Zubizarreta, director of Addimat; and Jesús Tobajas, event manager of Addit3D at BEC; and Cristina Campo, Visitors´ director at BEC.

All this content will be reinforced by the Additive Innovation Workshops, consisting of short presentations on products and services, as well as the latest commercial and market trends, which will be held in Hall 6.

Industry 4.0 Showcase

Addit3D will be held simultaneously with BIEMH, between 13 and 17 June at BEC, and will share space with BeDIGITAL – which will focus on the industrial application of digital technologies – as well as with the IMIC – Industrial Maintenance Innovation Conference and the WORKinn forum, thus rounding off the largest showcase for advanced manufacturing and Industry 4.0.

The event is organised by Addimat – the Spanish Association of Additive Manufacturing and 3D Technologies, and Bilbao Exhibition Centre.
