The maritime sector will meet at World Maritime Week from 21-23 March 2023

World Maritime Week will bring together the entire maritime sector from 21 to 23 March 2023 at BEC. This biennial event, recognised as one of the sector’s leading gatherings in Europe, returns stronger than ever to hold five conferences simultaneously, with the sea always being the main and common theme.

The shipbuilding industry will gather at Sinaval, the long-established event now being held for the 24th time; there will be a fishing forum at Eurofishing, and all the latest developments and technologies in ports will be shared at FuturePort. These meetings, by now a tradition, will be accompanied by the second edition of the Ocean Energy Conference, a conference that will bring together experts in wave and tidal energy, as well as the Oil&Gas Conferenceforum, where all aspects related to upstream and downstream oil and gas will be discussed.

As regards interaction among sectors, the B2B programme for direct contact among professionals will, as in previous editions, be one of the strategic elements of World Maritime Week. This programme of arranged meetings between invited buyers and exhibitors provides a necessary business space for buying advisors and suppliers to exchange information.

World Maritime Week held its third edition last year and was attended by professionals from 17 countries, who met at the conferences with experts in all aspects of the blue economy and other spaces at this forum.  Around one hundred exhibitors displayed their work in this edition’s exhibition area, which also featured the traditional FINE awards gala dinner, which recognise the efforts of companies and individuals in the maritime sector.
