The hemp sector is experiencing an unparalleled moment at a global level. The rise of medical cannabis is a sign of the growth and acceptance of the sector. Spain has positioned itself as the world’s seventh-largest producer of medical cannabis, with an expected growth of 53% in legal production. Furthermore, the Ministry of Health has initiated the process to regulate the medical use of cannabis in Spain, opening a public consultation period to receive contributions from the public.

This context of growth and evolution drives the celebration of Spannabis in Bilbao, a city with strong cultural roots and its own identity, which makes it the perfect setting for an event of this magnitude. It will take place from 20 to 22 September at BEC, attracting the international attention of the sector to Bilbao and the Basque Country.
