Bilbao Exhibition Center has designed a strict protocol to guarantee health and safety in its facilities both for its workers and for those attending the events that are organized. These measures may be increased whenever the organization of an event requires special and additional rules to those that already exist. In this case, a specific protocol will be designed and the necessary actions will be undertaken to comply with the maximum safety and hygiene requirements.
Many companies have already trusted BEC to organize their events. Thus, the venue has pioneered the adoption of measures to host large-format exams with thousands of people, such as the Municipal Police and Ertzaintza exams or the HABE and IVAP language profile tests. In addition, the rooms of the Congress Center have also hosted conferences and meetings of Eroski, the Port Authority, Laboral Kutxa, the Bolivian Consulate in Bilbao or the Transvol cooperative, among others.
The security protocol established by BEC focuses on access control, the preventive capacity management, the monitoring of people’s movements and social distancing, cleaning and environmental safety of facilities, in addition to coordination and seamless communication with health authorities and services.
The document shall apply to all the events to be held at BEC, in order to ensure the safety of clients, suppliers, organising institutions and visitors. In addition, the entire process will be completed by active communication, both internal and external, which shall reinforce the information, awareness, appropriate social behaviours and risk prevention.
All these measures make BEC a safe space.
