BEC renovates its Convention Centre with new audiovisual equipment

Bilbao Exhibition Centre has begun remodelling its Convention Centre with the aim of transforming and digitising its space with new audiovisual equipment. With a commitment to offering unique, quality experiences, this refurbishment promises to provide organisers and attendees with a state-of-the-art environment adapted to today’s demands.

In total, more than 100 audiovisual elements will be renewed, such as loudspeakers, cameras, translation and conference systems, projectors, monitors, wireless microphones, mixing and production desks, among others. All this will be distributed between the Auditorium, which has 5 translation booths, the Press Room and Room 1 on Level 5. The main objective of this remodelling is the digitalisation of the spaces in order to have better connectivity between rooms, in the acoustics of the spaces and image projection. The work is expected to be completed this month.

The Auditorium can seat 900 people in theatre layout and can be divided into two separate auditoriums, as can Room 1 on level 5, which has two simultaneous translation booths and can also be divided into two separate rooms. The Press Room, where press conferences are usually held, has a capacity for 50 people.

The refurbishment process is being carried out in several planned phases with the aim of minimising disruption to events at the Convention Centre and ensuring that the new services and facilities are in place. This transformation is expected to have a significant impact on the range of events on offer and on the global perception of BEC as a leading venue for conventions and corporate events. This work represents a significant step towards the modernisation and optimisation of the facilities, a task for which Telesonic, a first-rate partner with whom it has been working for more than 15 years, is a key partner.
