An agenda featuring international professional events

Bilbao Exhibition Centre will host internationally important events throughout 2024, which will consolidate its position as an epicentre for professional gatherings for strategic sectors. The scheduled events are Empack, Transport&Delivery and Logistics & Automation, EHEC-European Hydrogen Energy Conference, Wind Europe Annual Event, Food4Future, Pick&Pack and AOTEC-Technology Fair, as well as BIEMH-International Machine Tool Biennial, BeDIGITAL-Transforming Industry, ADDITƐD, International Trade Fair on Additive Manufacturing and 3D Printing and WORKinn Talent Hub.

Empack, Transport&Delivery and Logistics & Automation was recently held in February, specifically last week. Leading supply chain, logistics and packaging companies presented their latest innovations, offering attendees a comprehensive overview of market trends. Organised by Easyfairs, this fair followed a comprehensive format with an exhibition area, conferences, demonstration areas and networking activities.

On the other hand, from 6 to 8 March, EHEC will bring together the main actors and companies in the hydrogen sector to showcase the latest technological developments and promote business opportunities. Tecnalia, Basque Energy Board and Energy Cluster, along with BEC, work closely with the Spanish Hydrogen Association (AeH2) to organise this event, which is Europe’s largest hydrogen event.

Food4Future and Pick&Pack will also be held at BEC from 16 to 18 April. These meetings will showcase the most innovative and disruptive technological solutions that are transforming the food industry; the largest knowledge forums, where you can discover trends, the latest emerging technologies and outstanding success stories in applying automation and robotics, logistics and packaging solutions in the food industry. NEBEXT and AZTI, a Basque scientific and technological centre specialising in the marine environment and food, are the organisers of the event.

Moreover, on 9 and 10 May, BEC will host the 17th edition of the Aotec Technology Fair, a natio2nal leader in telecommunications and digitalisation of rural areas. A specialist in connectivity and digital transformation of small and medium-sized towns, the National Association of Telecommunications and Internet Services Operators is leading this call. The event will feature a new Start-Ups area where pioneering developments will be presented that will further boost the technology scene.

Moreover, the 32nd edition of the BIEMH, the leading trade fair for machine tools and advanced manufacturing, will be held from 3 to 7 June. The event is shaping up to be a real live industrial and technology show, where large machines in operation will be the undisputed stars of the show. Alongside this event, the new editions of BeDIGITAL, a forum focusing on the industrial application of digital technologies, and ADDITƐD, the international trade fair for additive manufacturing and 3D printing, will be held in BEC’s halls. Moreover, true to its commitment to talent development, WORKinn Talent Hub, the gathering point for talent and industry, will be held.
