2023 has been a year of uninterrupted activity. Since the beginning of the year, a wide range of major events have taken place, among wich the celebration of the Hyrox, the indoor fitness competition held in the main cities of each country; Outlet Bilbao, the largest discount fair in the Basque Country, and Bilbao Turismo’s annual event “Fokus On“, which presented the calendar of activities to promote the destination to more than 300 representatives of the tourism sector in the region.

In addition, two highly anticipated events returned to the BEC last weekend: Expocadena, a private hardware and industrial supply fair, and Japan Weekend Bilbao, the largest pop culture event in Spain. In March, Desembalaje, the antiques, vintage and retro fair, which will celebrate its 47th edition, and the Ausartan Race sports competition will be held again at the Basque trade fair and convention center. In the coming months Food 4 Future – Bilbao Foodtech World Summit will also take place, which in its second edition will again bring together the leading companies in the food and technology industry; FVO, an event that once again is positioned as one of the largest used car fairs in the State; and the 31st edition of Euskal Encounter, the multitudinous appointment of fans and computer professionals. Biocultura, the fair of organic products and responsible consumption, will return in October.

In the field of professional events with international projection, Empack and Logistics & Automation, the first meeting point for packaging, logistics and transport professionals in the north of Spain; the World Bank Group’s prestigious international conference Innovate 4 Climate, organized by the World Bank; and Intergraf Currency+Identity, a unique platform for the security printing industry that will bring together more than 850 delegates from over 350 institutions from all over the world, will occupy a very prominent position.

For all these reasons, the Bilbao Exhibition Centre foresees 2023 as a year of great dynamism and continuous activity at its Convention Center, which will be attended by thousands of companies, professionals and visitors from all over the world.
