The members of the Association of Spanish Conference Centers and the Association of Spanish Trade Fairs have unanimously approved the candidacy submitted by Bilbao Exhibition Centre to host the 2nd AFE-APCE Congress, to be held in 2024.

In the words of Xabier Basañez, president of AFE and general manager of BEC, “it is an honor for us, as well as an enormous challenge, to host and co-organize such an important event for our sector, in a year in which we are also celebrating the 20th anniversary of our current venue. From now on, we will start working on the design and organization of the congress, confident that we will achieve an extraordinary event with a high level of participation”.

For his part, the president of APCE, Iker Goikoetxea, acknowledged that “holding the second joint congress at the BEC facilities makes us particularly excited, as it is one of the best trade fair and congress organizations in the country and because Bilbao is a unique destination with excellent gastronomy and countless tourist attractions. We are sure it will be a magnificent congress”.

The first congress, held jointly in Malaga in July 2022 by the Association of Spanish Trade Fairs (AFE) and the Association of Spanish Conference Centers (APCE), was a complete success in terms of attendees and content.
