Bilbao Exhibition Centre continues to reinforce its role as a leading venue for large-scale congresses at both national and international levels. Throughout 2025, its congress programme has brought together thousands of professionals around strategic fields ranging from energy innovation to talent management.

Among the most notable events was EU PVSEC 2025 – European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition, the world’s leading congress dedicated to photovoltaic solar energy, held in September. More than 1,500 professionals — including researchers, institutional representatives, and leading companies — participated in a programme that combined high-level conferences with an exhibition area focused on the most innovative solutions in the sector. The event established itself as a key meeting point for promoting innovation and the development of renewable energy in the Basque Country.

Similarly, the APD HR Congress 2025, held in April, turned BEC into a hub for executives and human resources leaders from major companies across the country. Under the theme of trends, leadership, and talent transformation in the digital era, the event offered a space for reflection and learning on new people management models. It occupied various spaces within the venue, such as Luxua, the Auditorium, and Levels 2 and 5 of the Convention Centre, showcasing the versatility of BEC’s facilities to host diverse, high-level formats.
