Digitalization will continue to be a firm commitment and a priority for BEC, along with sustainability, with the aim of improving the user experience. For this reason, Bilbao Exhibition Centre continues to advance in its digital transformation strategy by improving processes, digital marketing, cybersecurity and technology, among other aspects, in order to continuously improve the availability and offer of services to our visitors.

As far as digital communication is concerned, an automatic Chatbot has been implemented on the main BEC website to answer the most common questions of visitors to the website, in addition to organizing internal training on Google Analytics, SEO, SEM, among other contents.

In addition, a new version of integral software management has also been implemented for legal, security and performance changes, and to facilitate the incorporation and integration of new technologies or functionalities; in addition, a new parking management system (Wallet) has also been created, which allows the integration of requests for parking spaces from exhibitors in the online store or in the ERP with the parking software, with a QR code that allows the entrance and exit of the enclosure.

In the area of cybersecurity, a new SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) tool is being contracted to detect potential risks to system security. In addition, with regard to mainly technological projects, Bilbao Exhibition Centre will continue to work in the field of innovation, analyzing several projects with emerging technologies such as big data, augmented reality or new functionalities with applications.
